Success 101Moving in the direction of a clear goal is the secret to success...

What direction are you moving in? If you continue in this direction, where will you be in 5 years? In 18 months? In 6 weeks? When we don't have a clear idea of where we are going, we are destined to wander aimlessly through a life of mediocrity. Big Juicy Tip o' the Day: Aimlessness is the kiss of death to success. Success 101, Lesson 1: Have a clear goal. The moment you have a clear picture of your goal in your mind, BINGO! You have a direction! No longer will you need to agonize over decisions, big or small. Doubt shrinks. Indecision minimizes. Waffling all but disappears. Paralysis passes. Because you now have one simple, straightforward question to ask yourself for each step you take, every action you plan, all decisions you make... "Will this bring me closer to or further from my goal?" Simple, yet extremely effective. This question is a nifty solution for worriers and procrastinators. Instead of spending valuable energy and resources trying to "figure out" and "analyze" the next step, you can go right to the core of the issue. If a step brings you even a little closer toward your success goal - TAKE IT. Remember: the road to your success is created one step at a time. Your path forms as you move along it.
Oh, and by the way, there is such a thing as a "mid-course adjustment". This is great - if you're chuggin' along toward your wonderful goal and suddenly realize that you've veered (veering is completely natural and to be expected - ask any sailor.), simply adjust your course. No biggie, just part of the navigation toward the goal. Your success is guaranteed - IF you have a clear goal AND are moving toward it!
