Think about this

Summary:
Discover the secret behind your thoughts. Why do thing the things that you think? This is the information that will make you a better thinker so think about that.

Have you ever thought about the thoughts you are thinking and really understood why you think what you think? The secret about the thoughts you think is, of course, the law of attraction. Whatever you are putting your attention on is what you are thinking about. Most spirituality information tells you there is more to it than this because the whole thinking thing is a process.

Is this not a way cool process? And really quite simple when you think about it. So start thinking about it. But think about it consciously. Just like you are doing right now. Take this feeling of consciousness with you when you finish reading today.

When you leave here and take on another project, think consciously about what it is you are doing and why you are doing it. What intention are you putting your attention on? What desires are you fulfilling? Is this a conscious desire or an unconscious desire that the television told you to focus on?

Are you making your own conscious choices about what is important to you or are you letting other people, people you don't even know, from a source that does not have your best interest at heart, with the intention of separating you from your money, creating desires in you that will not only not improve your life but will add to the guilt and conflict that comes from these unconscious choices? Is the television the main source of data input in your life?

Think about this. Thoughts go through our heads all the time. These thoughts come to us by what we are putting our attention on. What we put our attention on depends on what kind of stimuli we are subjecting ourselves to. This stimulus comes to us through our physical and nonphysical senses. We have conditioned ourselves to receive most of our cognitive stimuli through our physical senses, so anything that we interpret from our physical senses is what receives the bulk of our attention.

What we put our intention on is what attracts thoughts to us, thoughts that are in alignment with our attention. Because we live in a time oriented physical universe, we believe that the concept of a twenty-four hour day is what defines a full cycle of earth's rotation. Let's take a look at just a little part of this cycle and see where our attention lies.

We are going to make some generalizations here for demonstration purposes. First we are going to say that we sleep eight hours, so now we have cut our twenty-four hour day down to sixteen. Generally, we work eight hours, so now we have two divisions of our waking conscious state, our work time and our free time.

During this sixteen-hour time frame we are bombarded with external stimuli unless, of course, you have chosen not to. We are looking at what we are going to describe, and what our observations tell us, is a typical day for most working people.

Are you ready? Okay, let us take a look at just the morning part of a general day of your life, from this generalized viewpoint, and see what type of stimuli we subject ourselves to when we live unconsciously.

Upon awakening, you turn on the television or the radio or read the newspaper to update yourself on what is happening in the world. What we call news. You listen to the commentators or read the newspaper as they relay to you, in verbal or visual form, what has been relayed to them by machines. These people or devices are not the news. They are just relaying to you a condensed interpretation of somebody's perception of what transpired since the last time they reported and interpreted the news.

We have been told and conditioned to believe that what we hear on the radio, see on the television, or read in the newspaper is an accurate description of some actual event. Theoretically, we are just being told the facts of a particular situation, without judgment, so that we can objectively form our own opinions.

Is that how you interpret your news, fair, balanced and objective? Or does the news you receive daily have a certain slant to it? Does it seem to fall in lock step with a belief system that may or may not be of your own choosing? Do you get the full story or just some eight-second sound bites that are supposed to reveal to us the “truth” of the story?

Are you forming your own truths or are you accepting these words of others as your truth and accepting on faith that these are accurate descriptions of what actually happened to relay this news story to you? It's your choice.
