Summary:
Discover how choice is the secret to creating a life that truly serves you. Whether you choose religion or spirituality information is a choice. What serves you?

All of life is a choice. The secret is in knowing what choices serve you and having the spiritual awareness to choose them. Religion often tells you one thing and your spiritual growth tells you another.

But here's the deal. It's your choice. It is you who gets to make the choice about your life. Your choice to read this article says volumes about where your choices have led you. You wouldn't be reading this article if you hadn't made the choice of improving your life. The fact that you are reading an article at all says that you are living more consciously than many of your fellow human beings who have chosen not to expose themselves to new or different information.

Mark Twain once said, “The person who knows how to read and doesn't is no better off than the person who can't read.”

That's what we are talking about here, information. I can't even tell you if this is your truth because only you can determine whether this information is the truth to you. You are your own guide as to what is true for you. You can't go by the words that are written here because words are unreliable as far as relaying what is true to us.

The best guide you can go by is your feelings and your experience. Do these words feel like the truth? Do they resonate with your inner core? Is it the little devil or the little angel that is telling you to believe these words? Do these words serve you?

If these worlds seem to serve you, if they sound, or better yet, feel like the truth then you may choose to use them to help you evolve and grow because you are always evolving. Remember, this is a process and it is an on-going, never-ending process.

You are in a continuous process of evolving. If you listen to these words and choose to do nothing at all, as far as incorporating them into your life, you will still continue to evolve. It is just that you will evolve very, very, very, very slowwwwwwly. It is a matter of choice.

It is a choice to live within your natural harmonious nature or to imagine yourself separate from the harmony that is your natural state of being.

Once again, I am reminded of one of the biggest dichotomies that exists in the realm of the physical. This idea that what we choose to do because it is the easiest thing to do often turns out to be harder in the end, and often what we chose to do that seems to be harder initially turns out to be the easiest and best thing we could do in the end.

Our observations tell us that the human species has chosen to believe that they are separate from the universality of all that is for at least the last two thousand years of recorded history. This seems to be the easiest thing to do given that to do otherwise would require a concerted effort to go against all that you have been told and conditioned to believe your whole life. By following this seemingly easier path of separation we think we are doing the easiest thing. That is, to follow the herd and agree with whatever the majority is promulgating.

By taking this path we observe that although it requires no effort to join in on this common theme, the consequences of doing so are proving to be that this is not the easiest path. It turns out that the concept of being separate carries with it all kinds of baggage that is not easily detectable with your initial allegiance.

You soon discover that in order to maintain this aura of separation, you have to incorporate into your life-process a whole bunch of fear-based concepts that are necessary in order to let your ego take dominance in your decision-making process. As the ego becomes the boss, the unseen consequences of your initial decision to be separate begin to reveal themselves to you.

Fear rules the day and brings with it the aspects of fear that are part and parcel of this belief system. Anger, jealousy, hatred, lust, greed, righteousness and superiority are just a few of the emotions and feelings that are within the repertoire of fear. Do these emotions and feelings make your life easier? Our observation tells us it is quite the opposite. These are the things that bring frustration and misery into our lives. They make life harder in the end. Do these aspects of your beingness serve you?

The concept of being one with the universe is a harder idea to grasp initially because it is not a part of mainstream thinking and to incorporate it into your life you have to make a concerted effort to do so. So living within this belief system is not the easiest thing to do initially but if you get beyond the little bit of effort that will allow you to immerse yourself in this belief system then the natural consequences of your actions will more than make up for your initial uncomfortableness.
