How Long Does it Take for Something to Manifest?Law of Attraction Questions and AnswersA regular column by Lorna, May 31, 2006
Question: How long does it take for something to manifest? Answer: Strong desire with little or no resistance manifests quickly ("I've got to lift this car off my kid"). A spirit of playfulness manifests remarkably quickly (writing checks to yourself from the Universal Bank and putting them on your desk.). Strong emotion (desire) with doubt takes longer , with disbelief, even longer (I want to win the lottery) and the doubt, disbelief, and impatience can keep it from manifesting at all if they are stronger than the desire or expectation for the thing. Neutral emotions with no resistance can manifest quickly, too (I want to find a perfect parking space; I want to see a blue butterfly). The theme here is 'with no resistance'. As intelligent human beings with active brains, we look for 'reasons' why something will or won't happen. Since culturally, most of our reasons are negative, we tend to have a lot more resistance than we're aware. The opposite of resistance is alignment with Spirit - that feeling of flow, of trust, of 'it's all OK - it doesn't matter'. That is the feeling that opens the door for Source to act. How long it takes something to manifest is how long it takes you to bring your consciousness into alignment with having it.
