Summary:
Ras Rootka is available thru the MSN group http://groups.msn.com/TwelveTribesLiveUp I suggest that ones who have not had a chance to visit this site to do so, since it is truly a upfull atmosphere, accepting all Houses, Mansions of Rastafari and teaching the 12 Tribes way of Life. Give thanks to Breddah Rootka for this Crucial Interview

The Rastafari Expression Like Morgan Heritage sang," You don't haffe dread to be Rasta. You don't haffe dread. This is not a dreadlocks thing it's a divine conception of the heart. " How could anyone oppose other Rastas who don't have locks? That is why I feel that Brother Gad did the right thing in combining all set of Rastafarians in the Twelve Tribes of Israel, whether dreadlocks, combsome, and even clean cut. His purpose was to show the people that there are Rastafarians who have locks and who don't but we still Rastafari, doing the works and keeping the Faith. Some say you have to carry your crown if you want to enter Zion. But hair cannot give you salvation it is from the Messiah Himself, locks cannot save you.

Kaya Isesajah: How does the I view Herb in these days and times?

Ras Rootka Zebulun: Herb is a healing of the nations. It is already proven by doctors and scientists to help with certain illnesses, such as Asthma, Cancer, Aids, Tubercolosis, Bronchitis, and now even used to prevent morning sickness among pregnant women. So why is Babylon fighting against Herb, when they know that it is not a drug like crack, cocaine, heroine, lsd, crystal meth or whatever? They are hypocrites man but like the Rastaman seh," Yuh cyant GangJah." Why should they criminalize Rastafarians for just using a simple plant that Jah created? Herb is used for spiritual reasons and for medicinal purposes, so Babylon should stop opposing it.

Kaya Isesajah: What books does the I recommend for the youth who are seeking Rastafari?

Ras Rootka Zebulun: I recommend that these young students just sighting up Rastafari, should first take up the Bible and read it a chapter a day from Genesis 1 to Revelations 22, so they can learn the truth for themselves. I also suggest them to read the Kebra Negast, The Selected Speeches and Important Utterances of H.I.M. Haile Selassie I, The Philosophy and Opinions of Marcus Garvey, The Testimony of H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I: Defender of the Faith, The Mission: The Life, Character, and Reign of Haile Selassie, My Life and Ethiopia's Progress, The Lion of Judah hath prevailed, Rastafari: Roots and Ideology, Rasta and Resistance , Rastafari: The Way of Life etc.

To me these are good books to read in learning about Rastafari. They will overstand who His Imperial Majesty and Marcus Garvey is, the Davidic lineage of the Ethiopian Monarchs, Black Nationalism, what really is the Rastafari Movement, what the Faith is based on, and the whole livity of I n I Rastafarians.

Kaya Isesajah: Does the I have a favorite author, a favorite musician?

Ras Rootka Zebulun: Not one particular favorite author at all as they are many I like, too much to mention. But my favorite musician was and still is Bob Marley though I like the present Reggae Artists who are musically spreading the message of Rastafari internationally like Marley did. Yet not one of these present day Reggae musicians can even come close to Robert Nesta Marley. No sah.

Kaya Isesajah: What does the I do as your occupation?

Ras Rootka Zebulun: I am presently an Administrative Assistant.

Kaya Isesajah: Do you have a Degree?

Ras Rootka Zebulun: Yes I have a College Degree and I encourage my fellow Rastafarians to attend universities and further their education as His Majesty show us that Education is the Key for betterment! Rastafarians need to be more educated like the King told us. So if ones have the chance to attend college then go for it!

Kaya Isesajah: Where does the I see Rastafari going in these next few years?

Ras Rootka Zebulun: Well I sincerely hope to see Rastafari transcending more and more globally by keep spreading the message of Rastafari, whether verbally or musically, waking the people up from their sleep and slumber. Because all the people need to come out of the darkness and into the Light of Jah. Satan's time is up Jah soon come and rule!

Kaya Isesajah: Does the I hope and pray for a Sovereign Nation of Rastafari to form? If so how can InI achieve this future goal?

Ras Rootka Zebulun: Yes I hope and pray for a Sovereign Nation of Rastafari to develop which all the Rastafari houses will achieve in the future to come by Jah will of course. Hopefully in the future every Rastafarians will put aside their differences and labor together on the African reconstructive development. This is important for all of us to reconstruct the African continent as a Rastafarian family and end the foolish bickering.

Already conferences have been held to uplift the Rastafarian Community, so let our actions speak louder than just words. This is how we can accomplish having a Rastafari nation in Africa. Africa is where we are organizing and centralizing at before New Jerusalem comes. So it is imperative to have a Rastafarian nation on the main continent! I n I must come together under one banner of the Twelve Tribes of Israel! For all of us Rastafarians are Israelites and we are all going to pass through twelve gates in Zion.

Kaya Isesajah: Is there any Rastafari organizations that the I is affiliated with?

Ras Rootka Zebulun: Well I am affiliated with the Jamaican Rastafarian Development Community, The Shashamane Settlement Development Foundation Inc., Projects Humanity(The Nurses of Israel Inc.), & The Ethiopian Peace Foundation LTD. In St. Croix(Cruz) there is U.C.A M20(United Caribbean Association Inc., which I've been affiliated with ever since a youth, and the first Rastafari group to be established in the Virgin Islands. I hope to become affiliated with other Rastafarian organizations and assist them with the works.

Give thanks for interviewing me Sister Kaya and I hope that ones enjoyed reading this interview. Let us continue to keep the faith, carry the message, and engage in the necessary laboring in Africa at this present moment. Jah bless the Twelve Tribes of Israel and all Rastafari houses!

May the spirit of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I always be with I n I Rastafari! May the Spirit of Jah, and His Beloved Son Yahshua Ha Mashiach, be with us forever. Selassie I! Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
