Does the Law of Karma Conflict with the Law of Attraction?Using Law of AttractionA regular column by Lorna, Jan 25, 2006
Question: Does the law of karma conflict with the law of attraction? Answer: Karma is a habitual and repetitive thought pattern that re-creates the same energy signature over and over. Karma is merely unconscious creating. Many people regard karma as the bad things that happen to you in your life as some sort of punishment from on high. In actuality, karma is everything that happens to you , bad or good, and is just the sum of your beliefs, thoughts and expectations about yourself and about your life experience. Karma is law of attraction in action. The karma we experience is a reflection of our dominant vibration. Before we are aware of law of attraction, we create our reality by default. We follow the grooves and ruts established by our families, our culture, or our own habits we developed early in life. This creates a dominant vibration in us as helpless. We believe we are victims of whim and feel we have no choice about our lives. We find ourselves subject to every illness our friends have; our financial situation is no better than the people we know who complain the most and worst of all, we have given away our power to change. With apologies to Thoreau, we live lives of quiet desperation. As we look at our expectations, limitations and beliefs and how these outpicture in our experiences, relationships, finances and health, we clearly see the karma we have created for ourselves. Law of attraction empowers us to understand that we make our own choices, and create our own reality. Karma, while still being our dominant vibration, then becomes under our conscious control. Law of attraction brings to us what we believe, what we expect and what we think most about. As we deliberately create success, health and love for ourselves we change old patterns of karma so they will never return. Conscious creation lets us consciously create for ourselves new and joyful karma for the future.
Karma is not fixed, is not inevitable and is not unchangeable. To change karma, we only have to change our thoughts. Ernest Holmes said, "Change your thoughts, change your life." I add, "Change your life, change your karma - consciously". Lorna maintains an international Law of Attraction Coaching practice. From time to time she has openings for new clients.
