Summary:
Rastafari! I feel honoured to do an interview of a man with such Vision in Rastafari. Trevon B. Ferguson AKA Jahfire Berhane Selassie and called "LIONHEART" is the Owner and Operator of "House of Jah Music and Culture Shop". From humble beginnings, Ras Trevon grew from Trinidad, until for a betta livity, his mother came here. Betta living in USA, but Spiritually something had already taken hold of Trevon. Although Ras Trevon knew Rastafari before coming here, his expression of his Faith came later, after becoming independant of his family. On his website I read "...Seven years in slavery i spent. touching Germany, Israel, Saudia Arabia, Bosnia, Korea, and so on....but it was this seven years in bondage that strengthened my faith and brought me to the point in my faith that I am today."* Through those trials and tribulations, his faith manifested strong!!! *http://www.houseofjah.com/index.htm

KI. How did the I come to trod Rastafari/How long has the I been trodding the path?

TF. I was christened as a Catholic but ini was never spiritually complete. Around age 16 ini heard the voice of his Majesty calling and after seeing Garnett Silk and Capleton live ini knew Rastafari was the right way to trod.

KI. Where did the I grow up, what was the I experiences before your present path?

TF. INI grew up in Trinidad. Ini see nuff man persecute the Rastafari idrens and sistren. Nuff people say things against His Majesty and against Rastafari children. Before ini start trod Rasta way ini was afraid because ini mind was not free. But from ini sight up Jah ini know that I was mad to serve Jah and that make I free.

KI. What is your opinion of the Internet, in terms of the Rastafari experience?

TF. Ini see the internet like everything-else in life. There is good and evil. Is all up to the I dem to choose. We all know that man in his corrupt nature can be so evil. But when ini allow love to flow so many beautiful things can come about. The same way they use it for evil we as rastafri can use it for good. Check out ini website. www.houseofjah.com

KI. Does the I have any suggestions to the Rastafari community in achieving Inity?

TF. If the idrens and sistrens truly live the Rastafari way then we nuh haffi achieve inity! Cause rasta is love and love is collectivity. Love is one. Jah create us in love but ah we divide. So if we all just start live in authentic love and simplicity then inity come natural.

KI. How does Inity of Rastafari benefit ones in the Livity of Rastafari, both individually and on the global scale? Is Inity globally achievable and why is it necessary in your view (or opposite of this, if not necessary, why?)

TF. Babylon have ah ting call "DIVIDE AND RULE", and we the children of Jah must inite to fight this battle. If we claim to be RASTAFARI sons and daughters and we nah live in peace and inity then we living a lie. Inity is achievable but it must have to start from within each of us.

We have to know that the future of our kids needs to be secure in love. Also if the I nuh inite then we can't make upful positive changes in these times.

KI. What has been the biggest trial or tribulation that the I has encountered since becoming Rastafari? INI Realeyes that in this Iwa, 'locks' an a green diet is accepted albeit for different reasons INI are walking this way, so is there a next trial that I has had to endure because of your livity, or your faith?

TF. INI ah selector and when it comes to music ini get ah big fight cause ini only want deal with upful conscious roots music. And nuff people even ini family question I on that. Then the wearing of ini crown of locks.

When it comes to employment and these things in these times since ini have the yutes to feed it is hard when it comes to cutting I locks and putting food on the table.

KI. INI know that it has been said that the Babylon system is a vampire? Can you interpret this for INI?

TF. A vampire is a creature that comes in the dark and sucks the life from you by sucking your blood. The system of Babylon is setup to where it literally drains the life out of you in an undercover type of way.

KI. What is the challenge today walking in Babylon, but not being 'of' Babylon?

TF. Babylon set up to where the easiest things to obtain are the most destructive things. But ini as rastafari haffi know that even though we live in this world we belong with our father in ZION! So we haffi set ourselves aprt by doing that which is of Jah. When a man ah deal with hate we haffi uphold love to the fullest. And due to our weakness as men it is never easy to trod.

KI. Is the I married? If married, does the I have Children being raised in the Rastafari Traditions?

TF. Ini is married in the official sense of the word. Ini teach I youths the ways of Rastafari but due to certain circumstances ini nuh really push it pon dem still.

KI. How does the I view marriage in the sense of Rastafari tradition, INI know some Bredrin and Sistren in the Livity do not marry in the conventional sense of marriage, often times opting to live together rather than obtain a license. What is your view on this? If the I is of this view, how does the I justify this action with the 10 commandment law thou shalt not commit fornication?

TF. Well ini full see that marriage is ordained by Jah. In the lteral sense man just add-on and take off certain tings. That's why Rastafari sight up marriage in these times as bogus. But personally it all up to each I stil cause you conscience connects you to Jah so let it be the I guide

KI. Education was always stressed by King Selassie I, how does the I see Education in these times, how important, and what should INI be doing to educate our youth, to supplement the Babylonian Education which the system provides?

TF. Well if the I check the definition of education it really mean for ini to develop in certain ways to be able to survive and contribute to the nation seen.

So ini see education as vital. But Babylon system nuh set up to educate fully the minds and hearts of the Nubian children. That is why Rastafrian men and women haffi full educate the youths in the home. So that when they go school they won't fall victim to the system. Cause its easy to just accept what we are told but the youths dem ah seek for the example so we haffi educate them in certain tings

KI. What is the idea behind 'not every dread is a Rasta, and not every Rasta dread'?

TF. Well you have some youths that nuh carry the crown of locks simply because of life set up maybe them job or something of that nature. But within themselves them sight up Rastafari and them live an upful life. But more time you have some man that wear lock as a style for easy maintenance. Or some youth that pretend to be rasta under locks just fi ah hype ting!

KI. What is your opinion about the different 'houses' or 'mansions' within Rastafari?

TF. Well even yasus say it in my fathers house there are many mansions see. And the family is large so you ah go have certain differences but not division.

KI. Does the I belong or align your self with any house?

TF. BOBO

KI. Can Rastafari see 'Religious Tolerance', since Selassie taught INI to never question a next mans faith?

TF. Rastafari ah no religion. But ini raspect every man view cause we manifest his work but ini cannot change any man. Ini closest idren is catholic but ini will give I life for him cause him will do the same for ini. Jah manifest himself to everyone in due time.

KI. Are Rastafari sisters able to wear pants in the I's view? What about wrapping her locks?

TF. How does a piece of clothing make you more or less a Rastafarian? Rasta livity is not a fashion ting. Nuff royal empress work withing the system and them required to wear certain uniforms so does that make them less rasta. As for the locks is all up to them still. Cause ini nuff times cover ini covenant. But other times ini make the natty flash.
